Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to burn hazards: (a)On or about 11/04/2011 - Kitchen area, the cable mechanism on the 8 Head Henny Penny pressure fryer failed and splashed hot oil on an employee that was lowering a fryer basket. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to inspect the cable mechanism on a daily basis to insure that the integrity is maintained.
