Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment
and a place of employment free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to crushed by hazard:
a)facility, garage - employer did not establish a daily, weekly, monthly,
or semi-annual inspection
procedure to ensure reliability and safe operation of Rotary Lift, Model
SM 123- 09 and 918,
Serial Numbers JJ04B0004/SEF01B0002/JCK0160001.
Abatement Note:
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to
conduct and
document periodic inspections of the lift in accordance with manufacturers
recommendations
and ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2000 American National Standard for Automotive Lifts-
Safety
Requirements for Operation, Inspection, and Maintenance.
