Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:03/05/14 Location:South Side of Building Equipment:Gehl All Terrain Forklift, Model 513/DM54 Condition:An employee operating a forklift did not use its equipped seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to utilize the installed restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI/ITSDF) B56.1-2011, "Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks". Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
