29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a) On the southeast corner of the building under construction, on September 9, 2011 and at times prior thereto, an "L" shaped concrete retaining wall at grade level was 13' above the lower level and unguarded along both sides.    b) On the northeast corner of the building under construction, on September 9, 2011 and at times prior thereto, a leading edge of the first floor was 13' above the next level and was without fall protection.    NOTE: Abatement certification is NOT required for these items.
