29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by rotating parts:: (a) Employees operate a Fryer Easy Turn CNC lathe with no guarding in place to prevent the operator from coming into contact with the rotating chuck and indexing tool turret. This exposed the operator to a caught-in/on hazard. (b) Employees operate a LeBlond Lathe without a chuck guard to prevent the operator from coming into contact with the rotating chuck and part. This exposed the operator to a caught-in/on hazard. (c) Employees operate a Romi - Bridgeport EZ Path CNC lathe without guarding in place to prevent the operator from coming into contact with the rotating chuck. This exposed the operator to a caught-in/on hazard. (d) Employees operate a Bridgeport -Torqu-Cut 22 CNC machine that did not have the rotating tool turret guarded. The sliding door that enclosed the milling process was not interlocked, exposing the operator to a caught-in/on hazard. (e) Horizontal band saw (Ksaw) did not have the unused portion of the blade guarded, exposing operators to a laceration and/or amputation hazard.
