29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b) Note:  If using these systems was infeasible or created a greater hazard, the employer should develop and implement a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502.    a) On or about 02/27/12, on the front side of the roof on a residential home under renovation at 440 Porter Ave., Buffalo, NY:  An employee was on a very steep roof assisting the company owner who was engaged in repairing the leaking roof. The roof eave was approx. 25 ft. above the stair landing where the ladder was setting, and approx. 28 ft. above the ground. The roof pitch was estimated to be 16 in 12. Two slide guards with 2x6 lumber and approx. 8 ft. long were installed on the roof. One of the slide guards was approx. 8 ft. above the other. No guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system was utilized.    NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
