29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a.  On or about March 16, 2012 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry work on a roof deck, were exposed to falls of approximately ten (10) feet, five (5) inches, created by the presence of unprotected sides.    THE GULBO CONSTRUCTION, INC, WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 312597891, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 19, 2010, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1510 W. CORTEZ STREET, CHICAGO, IL 60622.
