29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when: a. On or about April 3, 2012 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing concrete operations in an excavation that measured twelve (12) feet four (4) inches in depth were exposed to cave in hazards due to the lack of adequate cave in protection.
