The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.    Worksite: Employees were not trained in the recognition of fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(22):     An employee shall not carry any object or load that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall.       Worksite: Employees were climbing ladder with objects that could make the employee lose balance and fall.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.       Worksite: Employees were working on the roof of a residential home and proper fall protection was not in use.    The employer was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29CFR1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA Inspection 310158126, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1, issued on 10/09/2007 by the Providence Area Office.
