Note: If using these systems was infeasible or created a greater hazard, the employer should develop and implement a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. a) Roof ridge: On or about June 14, 2012, and at times prior thereto, an employee, while installing a ridge cap on a twin unit mobile home under assembly, was exposed to a fall hazard of 11.5 feet, eave to ground, without fall protection. Note: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): A ladder was used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a) Mobile home entrance way, north side: On or about June 14, 2012, and at times prior thereto, an employee, going in and out of a mobile home that he was preparing for transport, used a self-supporting ladder, (stepladder) as a single ladder to reach a door threshold 45 inches from the ground below. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
