29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: On or about July 11, 2012, the employer did not ensure the emergency exit in the back of the store was unobstructed, exposing the employees to hazards such as, but not limited to burns and inhalation to hazardous gases such as carbon monoxide. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the exit routes are not obstructed.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: On or about July 11, 2012, the employer did not ensure access to the breaker boxes/panels in the back of the store was not obstructed with objects, exposing the employees to electrical hazards which include shock and/or electrocution. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the employees access to the panel in case of emergency.
