29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not using electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed: a) In switch heater panels, on or about 11/01/12: Electricians are exposed to high energy hazards (electric arc blasts) while working in front of live electrical panels rated at 480 volts. The employees work in front of these live panels for diagnostic purposes without wearing appropriate personal protective equipment such as flame resistant (FR) clothing . Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
