29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: The employer does not ensure that employees are protected from falling while on working surfaces at heights greater than six feet. This violation was observed on or about July 25, 2012, when employees were exposed to a fall hazard while using an eleven foot tall awning as a working surface to install drywall without any means of fall protection.
