29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure:    a) On or about August 31, 2012 - at the jobsite located at 924 East 170th Street, South Holland, Illinois - employees performing roofing activities on a roof with a 4:12 pitch measuring approximately eight (8) feet nine (9) inches above the ground, were not protected from falls created by the presence of unprotected sides and edges, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards.
