29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or other approved alternative fall protection system: (a) JT Roofing, 12330 Brighton Road, Henderson, CO 80640: On and before Septmber 6, 2012, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that three employee were conducting roofing operations on a 6-in-12 pitch roof on a one-story residential home and were not utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 8 feet. JT Roofing was previously cited for a violation of the same or substantially similar condition of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 107678, Citation Number 1 Item 1a issued on October 26, 2011, and became Final Order on November 9, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 5055 Newton St. in Denver, CO. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet"). Injuries associated with falls of approximately 10 feet are, but are not limited to; head injuries; leg and ankle fractures, muscle and ligament damage, lacerations, and full body contusions.
