29 CFR 1926.251(c)(16):     Wire rope slings did not have permanently affixed, legible identification markings stating size, rated capacity for the type(s) of hitch(es) used and the angle upon which it is based, and the number of legs if more than one.    On or about October 18, 2012 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to the hazard of struck-by falling loads when using a wire rope sling without legible markings indicating capacities while preforming scaffold erection in the crude unit.
