OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):   The employer does not furnish employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that cause or are likely to cause serious physical harm to employees, in that employees perform manual lifting, transferring and repositioning of residents resulting in physical stressors that have caused or are likely to cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs): at the employer's Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, employees manually lifted, transferred and repositioned residents who were in non-adjustable low bed frames and employees moved non-assistive residents up in bed by using a draw sheet with a 2-person lift to bear the full weight of the resident during the repositioning.
