29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a) 9151 Spanish Fort Blvd, Spanish Fort, AL: On or about January 22, 2013 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to a 15 feet 1 inch fall while working near unprotected edges to remove the metal decking from the secondary steel beams of the building's awning. The employee was wearing personal fall arrest but was not tied off.     SUPREME PETROLEUM SERVICE, INC WAS PREVIOSULY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 546038, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 B AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 18, 2012, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 2020 GULF SHORES PARKWAY, GULF SHORES, AL 36542.
