29 CFR 1926.350(a)(9): Compressed gas cylinders were not secured in an upright position at all times, accept, if necessary, for short periods of time while cylinders are actually being hoisted or carried: a) Four compressed gas cylinders (2 ox, 2 acetylene) were not secured; located on the ground floor near the conveyor. Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazard. Location: 585 8th Ave, New York, N.Y. On or about 11/28/2012 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.350(a)(11): Compressed gas or oxygen cylinders stored inside buildings were not stored in definitely assigned storage places, away from elevators, stairs, or gangways, where cylinders will not be knocked over or damaged by passing or falling objects, or subject to tampering by unauthorized persons: a) Four compressed gas cylinders (two oxygen and two compressed gas) were being stored near the conveyor floor opening where they can fall into the cellar. Employees were exposed to fire/ explosion hazard. Location: 585 8th Ave, New York, N.Y. On or about 11/28/2012 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
