29 CFR 1926.50(g): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [44 FR 8577, Feb. 9, 1979; 44 FR 20940, Apr. 6, 1979, as amended at 49 FR 18295, Apr. 30, 1984; 58 FR 35084, June 30, 1993; 61 FR 5507, Feb. 13, 1996; 63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998] a. At the mixing stations where employees mixed mortar containing Portland Cement and Hexavalent Chromium, there was no eyewash station, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard. b. At the interior courtyard where employees were using mortar containing Portland Cement and Hexavalent Chromium to lay brick, there was no eyewash station, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.

29 CFR 1926.51(f)(1): The employer shall provide adequate washing facilities for employees engaged in the application of paints, coating, herbicides, or insecticides, or in other operations where contaminants may be harmful to the employees. Such facilities shall be in near proximity to the worksite and shall be so equipped as to enable employees to remove such substances. a. At the worksite where employees were laying block and brick with mortar containing Portland Cement and Hexavalent Chromium, clean water, non-alkaline soap, and clean towels were not provided, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.
