29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:       The employer had employees exposed to a fall hazard, while accessing and exiting a residential roof via an extension ladder that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface.       Eric A. Allard Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 3128944652, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on October 4, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at Lot #18 Bahr Road, Sherman, IL 62684.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards:    Employees performing roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards while accessing the roof via a ladder.  The employer did not provide training for each employee that would have enabled them to recognize the hazards and provided them with the procedures to follow to minimize these hazards.     Eric A. Allard Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1060(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 3128944652, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on October 4, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at Lot #18 Bahr Road, Sherman, IL 62684.
