29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(v): Where combustible materials such as paper clippings, wood shavings, or textile fibers were on the floor, the floor was not swept clean for a radius of 35 feet (10.7 m). Combustible floors were not kept wet, covered with damp sand, or protected by fire-resistant shields.   a) On or about August 29, 2013, adjacent to the Lead Planer:  During welding operations, combustible materials such as wood shavings were not swept clean for a radius of 35 feet.  Wood shavings were within 10 feet of welding operations.  Although wet methods were utilized, combustible materials were guarded by a combustible cardboard barrier.  Abatement was completed for this item.
