29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck was not taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition: This violation was observed on or about November 14, 2013, at the workplace located at 3429 W. Corsicana Highway 31, Athens, Texas; where employees operated: 1. A Toyota electric forklift with an inoperable horn; 2. A Toyota electric forklift with an inoperable horn, and worn tires; and 3. A Toyota electric forklift with an inoperable back-up alarm, worn tires, and bad wheel bearing.
