29 CFR 1928.57(a)(6)(i): Guards were not kept in place when machinery was in operation: (a) L. Walther & Sons, Inc. dba Walther Farms located, 36668 B St., Wray, CO 80758: On and before November 14, 2013 the employer did not ensure the guard covering the belt and pulley on the flume machine water pump was re-installed after it had been removed. On November 14, 2013 an employee severed his finger after contacting the unguarded belt and pulley on the water pump while operating the flume machine. This condition exposed employees to an in-going nip point hazard.
