Throughout the shop bay area; on or about 12 December 2013 and times prior, the employer did not ensure that the work areas were clean and orderly. Shop bay area had numerous items loosely scattered on the floor impeding the walking and working surface. Items in the shop bay area included but not limited to: extension cords, hoses, drip pans, parts for machinery, tools, debris, paper products and other miscellaneous items. This condition exposed employees to a tripping hazard.
