29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(3)(ii)(B): The employer did not inform employees who performed work under 29 CFR 1926.1101 of the location and quantity of asbestos containing material and/or presumed asbestos containing material present in the area and the precautions to be taken to ensure that airborne asbestos is confined to the area:    a) Worksite located at 970 Broad St, Newark, NJ, 15th Floor, Rm 1556    An employee removed loose cinderblocks from a wall he was instructed to prep.  Material found inside the cavity of the cinderblocks were found to contain 10-25% chrysotile asbestos.  The employer failed to notify the employee that the cavity in the cinderblocks contained asbestos, and the precautions to take to minimize airborne release of asbestos.    Violation occurred on or about 11/14/2013.

29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(8)(vii): After the building owner or employer identified previously installed presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) and/or asbestos containing material (ACM), labels or signs were not affixed or posted so that employees would be notified of what materials contain PACM and/or ACM:    a) Worksite located at 970 Broad St, Newark, NJ, 15th Floor, Rm 1556    An employee removed loose cinderblocks from a wall he was instructed to prep.  The cavities inside the cinderblock were found to contain 10-25% chrysotile asbestos.  Asbestos labels were not affixed to the wall or posted in the area.     Violation occurred on or about 11/14/2013.
