At the facility, Assembly Room, On or about January 16, 2014, employees were exposed to a potential serious hazard of being struck-by polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic projectiles, if a rupture of the schedule 40 PVC pipes, used for transporting compressed gases in above ground installations, was to occur, while employees were using the PVC compressed air lines during the manufacturing and cleaning parts such as but not limited to aircraft air conditioning units.
