29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.    On 17 April 2014, two roofers were installing roof decking with the use of a pneumatic nail gun without eye protection, exposing the workers to the hazard of being struck by flying objects and debris.    Guadalupe Resendiz was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 758602, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/30/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2040 Elaina Loop, Leander, TX 78641.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.    On 17 April 2014, two roofers were installing roof decking on a residence under construction without the use of fall protection, exposing the workers to a fall hazard of approximately 135 inches or 11 feet 4 inches to the ground below.    Guadalupe Resendiz was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 758602, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/30/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2040 Elaina Loop, Leander, TX 78641.
