29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:        a) On or about 04/21/14, on PetCo and another roof under construction in the Wal-Mart strip plaza, 1520 Military Rd.,  Niagara Falls, NY: An employee engaged in construction work was not trained to recognize potential hazards on this type of jobsite including but not limited to falls from roofs, ladders, skylights, stairs & scaffolds, electrical hazards, unguarded tools/machines, fire hazards, and the need for personal protective equipment to protect him from various hazards. He also was not trained in the applicable OSHA regulations to control or eliminate these hazards.        ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.          a) On or about 04/21/14, on PetCo and another roof under construction in the Wal-Mart strip plaza, 1520 Military Rd.,  Niagara Falls, NY: Two employees were exposed to a potential fall of approx. 20 ft. while on a flat roof doing roofing work that included putting white TPO on cornices and on roof edges. No fall protection system was utilized.          NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
