29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  a)  On or before 5/12/2014, the employer re-initiated the retreading operation where Bandag Cement was sprayed inside a booth with the ventilation system removed.  The employer had not completed a hazard assessment of those assigned duties which exposed the employee to inhalation of n-heptane and other components of the Bandag Cement and did not identify the operating conditions necessary to protect the employee.
