29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:  (a)  Saw shack:  On or about May 20, 2014 and times prior thereto, an air nozzle was available for use that would not reduce pressure to below 30 psi.  This exposed employees to potential laceration/air embolism hazard if the nozzle contacted their skin.  The Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.242(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903923, notice number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/01/2013, with respect to a workplace located at Tiller Ranger District in Roseburg, Oregon.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed:  (a)  Warehouse:  On or about May 20, 2014 and times prior thereto,  a electrical junction box had two openings. This exposed employees to potential shock/burn hazards if employee contacted the electrical connections.  The Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903968, notice number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/01/2013, with respect to a workplace located at Pine Orchards in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  (a)  Saw Shack:  On or about May 20, 2014 and times prior thereto, the eye wash station fluid was overdue at the frequency recommended by the manufacturer.  This exposed employees to potential infections of the eyes from bacteria in the eye wash station.
