29 CFR 1910.242(b): Effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment was not used when compressed air was used for cleaning purposes: (a) The operator of the first foam injection molding machine on the west end of the shop was not wearing safety glasses when using compressed air for cleaning purposes with a psi greater than 30 psi. The employee was using a compressed air nozzle to blow foam particles from his shirt. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19
