29 CFR 1926.102(a)(2):  Eye and face protective equipment being used did not meet the requirements specified in ANSI Z87.1-1968.      (a)  Krueger & Associates, Inc. at 853 Majestic Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80478:  On and before June 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that an employee utilizing a pneumatic nailer was provided with eye protection during the process of attaching floor joists.  The condition exposed an employee to the hazard of a projectile to the eye.    Abatement Note:  1926.28(a) also provides that the employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or other approved alternative fall protection system:       (a)  Krueger & Associates, Inc. at 853 Majestic Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80478:  On and before June 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that employees setting and installing floor joists on the second level worked near the edge without utilizing a fall protection system.  This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet.         (b)  Krueger & Associates, Inc. at 853 Majestic Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80478:  On and before June 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that employees erected exterior and interior walls on the second level without utilizing a fall protection system.  This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet.         (c)   Krueger & Associates, Inc. at 849 Majestic Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80478:  On and before June 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that employees erected exterior and interior walls on the second level without utilizing a fall protection system.  This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet.
