29 CFR 1910.28(a)(17): Scaffolds shall be provided with a screen between the toeboard and the guardrail, extending along the entire opening, consisting of No. 18 gauge U.S. Standard Wire one-half-inch mesh or the equivalent, where persons are required to work or pass under the scaffolds. Location: 1600 Broadway, New York, NY. a) Employees were working from a suspended scaffold, approximately 100 feet high, which did not have the screen between the toe board and the guardrail. A piece of metal 16' by 20"fell onto the street. On or about 10/01/14.
