Employee(s) was building the roof trusses and was exposed to a twenty-two (22) foot fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(12): Unprotected sides and edges of stairway landings were not provided with guardrail systems that meet the criteria contained in Subpart M of 29 CFR 1926: On or about October 7, 2014, 32153 Mustang Hill, Bulverde, TX, the employer failed to ensure employee(s) were protected from a fall hazard to the ground below. There was no guardrail system installed on the second floor edge openings were the future stairs would be installed. Employee(s) were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately ten feet and six inches to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: On or about October 7, 2014, 32153 Mustang Hill, Bulverde, Texas, the employees were exposed to a ten feet and six inch fall hazard. Employees were observed stepping on the top step of the portable, free standing ladder. The Werner ladder was used in a manner that is prohibited by the manufacturer.
