29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:                                                                                                               a)    This violation occurred on October 16, 2014 and at times prior thereto, in the vertical drilling area, employees operated Powermatic drill presses serial numbers 79205102, 79205103, and 79205104 with no guards over rotating parts, exposing employees to hazards associated with contacting the rotating parts of the machine;    b)    This violation occurred on October 16, 2014 and at times prior thereto, in the manual drill area, employees were operating a Bridgeport drill press model 1150 s/n 8615V454 with no guards over the rotating parts, exposing employees to hazards associated with contacting the rotating parts of the machine; and    c)    This violation occurred on October 16, 2014 and at times prior thereto, in the spreader drill area, employees operated a Witon Strands drill press with no guard over rotating parts, exposing employees to hazards associated with contacting the rotating parts of the machine.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4):  Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:    This violation occurred on October 16, 2014 and at times prior thereto, in the Buff and Grinder area, employees were operating a Torit/Donaldson grinder model VS 2400 S/N IG35322-2 without work rests installed exposing employees to struck by and caught-in hazards.
