OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by and pinned/trapped underneath structural and non-structural building components while accessing, working within and exiting the one story, wood framed stable/building in order to access the large freezer dedicated to storing deceased animals.    On or about October 28, 2014, employees accessing, working within and exiting the one story, wood framed stable/building that was in poor structural condition and deemed unsafe by the local building officials were exposed to being struck by and being pinned/trapped underneath structural and non-structural building components resulting in serious physical harm and/or death while placing decreased animals in the large freezer located within the building.
