29 CFR 1926.501(c): The employer did not ensure employees exposed to falling objects were protected by means of some type of overhead falling object protection. In addition to having employees wear hardhats, the employer shall implement one of the measures outlined in 501(c)(1) through (c)(3) which include:  Provide a toeboard, or screen or the equivalent, or a canopy, or keep objects back away from the edge, or barricade the area to which objects can fall:    Location:  Downstate medical center, 450 Clarkson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203     On or about 09/27/2014 @1130 am    a)Employees were exposed to falling metal studs from overhead exterior wall when a light weight metal framing stud slipped from the bottom track of the assembly. The stud fell and struck the employee as he was standing near his tool cart. Horizontal or Vertical safety netting, barricades or controlled work zone were not present at the time of the incident.
