29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about January 14, 2015 and times prior, Lakota Roofing as the controlling employer, did not ensure that Allen Roofing a subcontractor protected their employees from falls. Employees working on the roof were not wearing fall protection and were exposed to injury from falls to the lower surface. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
