OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards:  a. On 1/28/2015, at the above addressed work site, at Tandem "A" employees were exposed to a fall hazard while using an elevated catwalk with corroded supporting beams to access office spaces and to observe the sugarcane mills.   b. On 1/28/2015, at the above addressed work site, at Tandem "B" employees were exposed to a fall hazard while using an elevated catwalk with corroded supporting beams to access office spaces and to observe the sugarcane mills.  PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.

29 CFR 1910.22(b)(1): Aisles and passageways were not kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard:  a. On 1/28/2015, at the above addressed work site, at Tandem "A" employees were exposed to fall hazards while using an elevated catwalk with corroded supporting beams to access office spaces and to observe the sugarcane mills.   b. On 1/28/2015, at the above addressed work site, at Tandem "B" employees were exposed to fall hazards while using an elevated catwalk with corroded supporting beams to access office spaces and to observe the sugarcane mills.  PLEASE NOTE: DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
