29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1) referenced by 29 CFR 1926.59: The employers did not have a material safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they used:    At the project, there was no material safety data sheet for Klean-Strip Paint Thinner, Custom Blend Thin Set Mortar, and AccuColor Premium Unsanded Grout.  Employees installing tiles on the interior and exterior floor were exposed to the hazard of the products contacting their eyes and skin.  The warning label on the products stated avoid contact with eyes and skin.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) referenced by 29 CFR 1926.59: The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area:   At the project, employer did not provide employees with effective information and training for using Klean-Strip Paint Thinner, Custom Blend Thin Set Mortar, and AccuColor Premium Unsanded Grout to install floor tiles.  Employees did not know the first aid procedures to use in the event of exposure or the personal protective equipment needed to prevent or minimize exposure.  The warning label on the products stated avoid contact with eyes and skin.
