29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguards designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting) must be in proper working order at all times.    Platform C, Galley Freezer: On or about April 7, 2015 and times prior thereto; the employer did not ensure that employees working inside a walk-in freezer (make and model unknown) were capable of opening the freezer door from the inside due to a broken latch mechanism. The interior mushroom plunger would not cycle and incapable of opening the door from the inside. This condition exposed employees to sub-zero temperatures capable of causing hypothermia and/or frostbite.
