29 CFR 1926.502(d)(6)(i): Unless the snap hook is a locking type and designed for the following connections, snap hooks shall not be engaged directly to webbing, rope or wire rope. a) Connected to HVAC Left Side - An employee was exposed to a fall hazard from securing the snap hook to the safety line that was not designed to hook to a safety line, on or about September 8th, 2015. b) Connected to HVAC Middle - An employee was exposed to a fall hazard from securing the snap hook to the safety line that was not designed to hook to a safety line, on or about September 8th, 2015. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
