29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system:    a)  East side of building, during snow removal:  On or about 1/13/16, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20' when using shovels and brooms to remove snow and ice from the edge of a low-slope metal roof; no fall protection system was in use.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a)  East side of building, during snow removal:  On or about 1/13/16, employees were not provided with training in the recognition and avoidance of fall hazards.  Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20' when using shovels and brooms to remove snow and ice from the edge of a low-slope metal roof; no fall protection system was in use.
