29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i):  The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees;                                                                                                                  In the facility, the employer did not provide lockout/tagout (LOTO) training to maintenance employees to ensure all employees were aware of the companys LOTO policies, procedures, and understood the purpose and functions when performing servicing and maintenance work on HVAC and equipment.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks;                                                                                                                 In Terminal B Gate 49, in the maintenance area, employees operated Jet drill press serial numbers 8100011, model # JDP-17MF with no guard over rotating parts exposing employees to amputation hazards.
