29 CFR 1926.706(a): A limited access zone shall be established whenever a masonry wall is being constructed. The limited access zone shall conform to the following. 29 CFR 1926.706(a)(1): The limited access zone shall be established prior to the start of construction of the wall. a. At the worksite located at 50 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, on the 14th floor, the employer failed to ensure a limited access zone was established prior to allowing a subcontractor to begin construction of a masonry wall around the newly installed #5 elevator door, thereby exposing subcontractor's employees to a stuck-by hazard of falling material into the elevator hoistway.
