29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: a) Construction Site at 2829 Route 22, Fredricksburg, PA: Employees engaged in installation of a water line were exposed to cave-in hazards while working where one side of the excavation was greater than 5 feet deep, without a protective system and/or benching of soil. No abatement certification or documentation required.
