29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about March 11, 2017, employees were exposed to potential eye injuries while engaged in the demolition/removal of masonry block walls and were not wearing eye protection.    No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   On or about March 11, 2017, an employee working from the roof of the building while engaged in the demolition/removal of masonry block walls was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 16 feet.  Fall protection was not being utilized.   No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
