29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. On 3/24/2017, workers from Kramer Roofing & Restoration were replacing roofing materials on the roof of a residence located at 10 Tiger Drive in Wentzville, MO. They were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. The crew lead and three workers were observed on the roof of the building approximately eight feet above the ground without fall protection, exposing them to a fall to the ground below.
