29 CFR 1926.1052(a)(6): All parts of stairways were not free of protruding projections:  a) Worksite, 568 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY: Employees doing construction work on the 4th floor were exposed to the staircase stringer that protruded approximately 6 inches above the landing surface; on about 3/29/17.  Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches, whichever is less, were not equipped with one stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge:  a)  Worksite, 568 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY - 4th fl.:  Handrail and stairrail were not installed on the left side of the stairway used by employees to access their work areas and to transfer materials to their work areas; On or about 3/29/17.   Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
